Yup can you believe it's been a year, me either. Time flies this year big time. I was going to post this earlier but I came down with the sinus crap going around and I have felt like crap for a week now. I hopefully will get some sleep. But moving on...WARNING written on Dayquil so I hold no responsibilities for stories told in this blog.
The evening was a good one, we went to Maggiano's in Buckhead and had dinner. And all i wanted was Veal and spumoni, other then that I didn't care. So I got my baby cow and man was it delicious. If you're a vegetarian, save the baby cow speech to someone else, cause it won't work with me. Because its so YUMMY. There is one thing that I really am starting to hate about Maggiano's, its the space between the tables. I always feel like you're just crammed in there, with no space to move and they have everyone on top of each other. Now if I was in NYC I would expect this but in Atlanta, lets get some more space. But it was very good and as I get older, places like bars and noisy restaurants, i can't hear a word of what has been said. Well this is what it was like in the restaurant, it drove me nuts. I had my friends MIke and Todd, there as usual and about 7 others. And we all know I'm all about the presents, and well I didn't get a lot, I don' care if it's something small just give me a present, I truely am one of those that believes "its the thought that counts" But hey it may not have happened at dinner but I got my own Birthday present this past Monday. A silver 80 GB iPod Classic, and I will say I love it. I have had a iPod Mini 4 GB for a few years and it is full and I kept getting tired of it getting full, and having to take things off and put new things on. I"m going through another podcast phase again and the new ones I listen to wouldn't fit on it, and I have been putting off getting a new one for a while and bit the bullet.
Well, you know when you buy a new piece of portable electronics, you don't just stop with it, you have to get all the accessories. With the mini, I got it right before they stopped making it so I got the iTrip FM adapter for it cheap and got a case cheap off ebay, well I went in search of a new FM adapter, and I thought Griffin had an iTrip for the regular one for $35 bucks, boy was I sadly mistaken, they had one but it was $79 bucks and the big one, that can run any of them, was $89, and it charged it while you played it, its the Road Trip. Which also you can tune to any station. Well Thomas got one of these a while back and said it was the best and after using it i can see why. It worked great, no cut outs, no nothing, the only thing I didn't like is it started at 88.1 and I couldn't use 87.9, the station I used to use and I think everyone else, so it may not be a bad thing. Well I didn't tell you I went to like 4 stores to look for the adapter before I settled on the Road trip, i could have just gotten it and not driven around town on Wednesday. I also got a really cool case at Walmart. I discovered that just keeping the iPod in my pocket will scratch it up, and I didn't have a lot in it. Not like ti's majorly messed up but it just annoyed me, So I have my case and I like it, its similar to the one I have for my Mini. Now if Walmart had the Road Trip in stock I def wouldn't have had to drive all over town but I did get to kill time before trivia.
Ok back to my story, I know i was talking about my birthday out and got sidetracked, yet again. So then we, me and Mike and Todd, decided to revive a birthday tradition. Go to the Shoe Show, in case you don't know what that is the strip club, and it's the gay strip club here. If you're familiar with my blog and I don't know how many of you are, when I first wrote the blog back in 2005, I wrote about the last birthday trip to it and it was HOT and fun. Well I don't know what the hell Swinging Richard's is doing but I think it was rough trade nite there. There were two that I tipped. One tall hot boy, and another was a fav of my friend Scott who went. Ok to tell you how bad the evening was I went with $60 bucks, and after the 10 buck cover, I left with $43 bucks, that should tell you something. I think the main problem is that back in the day, they had a lot of dancers through out the nite, for this night I think total they had 16, which was 4 per set and four sets total. So if one guy is really popular, like the tall boy I liked, he was constantly in the VIP area and never out front. So he danced one set and then was gone. So not sure whats up with them. They need to get a better variety of guys too, but oh well. We'll see if we go back, I think I'll hire my own stripper. I guess is the politics of a strip club. Also one thing I hated is they have new lights, and they have these blue lights and I never could see with the blue lights on. LOL I know picky bitter one shut up.
But oh well that was the Birthday, and next week I"m going to do a whole week!
